The mission of the Old Silo golf program for adults is to provide a fun, safe, learning environment for all ages and skill levels. The teaching philosophy of Old Silo instructors starts with learning the proper fundamentals (Grip, Posture, Stance, and Alignment). Mastery of these skills will provide the foundation of a good golf swing. Old Silo wants to teach our students all aspects of the game (not just the golf swing) which will enable you to be play to your fullest potential. We deliver all our adult clinics in the same manner that we approach other customer services.. We want every student to leave feeling a sense of comfort and enjoyment from their time around the game of golf.
All Monthly Clinics will include: 4 days in a month once a week , each day a different session
The putting clinics will discuss the basics of building a sound putting stroke, using alignment aids to train yourself to aim your stroke, strategies to practice distance control, and basic “green reading”.
These clinics will be designed to work on the disciplines of the Short Game from 50 yards in – chipping, pitching and sand play. Classes will vary in content and run ½ hour longer than the other sessions. At each Short Game clinic bring a putter, #9 iron, and a sand wedge.
Designed to work on the issues of ball striking and control of your “full-swing” golf shots. Bring 3 or 4 clubs and some ideas on what you would like to work on – we will take it from there. At each session will also spend a few minutes to re-enforce a fundamental – placing your hands on the club properly, setting-up and aiming properly, or stressing the importance of a balanced finish.
The object here is to build a little proficiency in the initial skills through repetition, reinforcement, application, and to have some fun. The overall goal is to continue developing all the previous skills to a level of proficiency and then to mastery.
